It seems everyone knows an attorney, or at least someone who can connect them with one. In today’s world, you can’t run a business, or even do business with another party, without the guidance of a lawyer. That may explain why there are so many attorneys (more than 15,000) in Orange County. It’s one of the oldest and most important professions. Finding the right attorney for your needs, however, can be tricky, or even downright intimidating. That’s why OC METRO turned to Avvo, a national organization that evaluates attorneys in specific regions, for recommendations on Orange County’s top lawyers.
The Avvo rating is an evaluation of a lawyer’s background, calculated using a mathematical model that considers the lawyer’s profile, including years in practice, disciplinary history, professional achievements and industry recognition. For this special issue, OC METRO looked at the top lawyers based on the Avvo rankings in each of the following legal categories:
